Brett Henrichsen has always had a passion for dance music. Working by day as a Marketing Specialist for IBM, Brett spent nights in clubs and record stores watching and learning from top DJ's and listening to his favorite style of music: high energy, vocal and progressive dance. Frustrated to learn that the vast majority of music he was hearing in the clubs was not available for purchase by the general public, he started the CD compilation series MASTERbeat in an effort to make these tracks available to more than just the nightclub DJ. The series proved to be immensely popular and led Brett to leave the corporate world to start his own independent record label. Brett met his first artist Erin Hamilton through mutual friends and introduced her to the dance and gay community by producing their first single, "Dream Weaver". His label continued to produce original dance hits including Erin Hamilton's #1 Billboard single "The Flame" and debut album "One World", along with singles from other artists including Lonnie Gordon and Sheryl Lee Ralph. The Masterbeat brand later evolved into an online music store and is now the largest producer of gay events in the USA. Always fascinated by the skills and talent of live DJ's, it was the next logical step in Brett's musical career to begin DJing himself. He started DJing as hobby on the side to help promote the Masterbeat brand, but after receiving rave reviews from debut sets at The White Party in Palm Springs and Amsterdam, he quickly rose to international superstardom going on to headline major events and receive critical acclaim at events around the world including Sydney's Mardi Gras (playing to over 20,000 guests in a special extended set), Carnival and XDemente in Rio, Magic Journeys at Orlando's Gay Days, New York's Pier Dance, San Diego Zoo Party, Miami's Winter Party and White Party and many more. Brett is one of the few USA circuit DJ's to crossover to the international mainstream and routinely plays abroad in Amsterdam, London, Asia, Madrid, Barcelona, Sydney, Sao Paulo and Rio. Brett is also a resident DJ at The Mayan in Los Angeles and aboard Atlantis Cruises. Chances are you'll find Brett on a dance floor near you as he travels virtually every weekend playing at clubs and events around the world. Brett attributes his endearing success as a DJ to having years of "on the job training" running a record label, producing his own events, and continuing to attend clubs and major events as a customer himself. This unique blend of experience contributes to Brett's deep connection to each event and venue he plays and his passion to ensure every set is a musical journey for the guest. DJ Eddie E hails from small town, Lufkin, Texas but has made a big name for himself in the years he’s been playing in Houston, Texas - The Nation’s fourth largest city! Eddie has always had a deep passion for nightlife culture. Starting out as support staff he said he never expected himself to one day be in the booth with every soul in the building focusing on where the journey he was about to take them went. When asked what makes him so passionate about nightlife he naturally smiles, leans back and says, “It’s something about the excitement, watching peoples emotions and seeing how diversity can play off itself in such an electric way when in a great environment”. You can find DJ Eddie E spinning on special events at one of the Nation’s leading nightclubs, SOUTH BEACH. On a regular basis he calls JR’s Bar & Grill and Meteor Lounge in Houston his main residencies. Although he doesn’t like being stereotyped into having an exclusive style he is well known for his ability to keep a strong vibe with a melting pot of Top40 mixed with House to Hip-Pop.
As one of the most sought after DJs in Houston, Native Houstonian, DJ Joe Ross, has been working the club scene since 2003. Since, he has spun at some of the hottest clubs/parties from Houston to Dallas to Florida to Vienna, Austria. His preferred styles of mixes are electro, vocal house, progressive house, tech-house, and top 40 pop remixes. Joe recently received Outsmart Magazine’s Award for Best Male DJ 2011 & was also awarded the Runner-up for 2010.
Where do I begin? I have always been an artist by nature. However, I did not realize what my dream job was until the first time I heard Larry Levan play at the Garage. He created theater and took you on a journey that allowed you to escape for a few magical hours. I knew then what I wanted to do with my life...make music and play music. When I began to DJ it was because I wanted to connect to everyone. I wanted music to bring us together and allow us to share that light that exists in all of us. So I worked hard and built a career for myself that I could have never imagined. I’ve played in the best clubs all over the world. Worked with the biggest and most talented artists in the world. I’ve truly been blessed.
Talent. Experience. Ambition. Passion. Any one of these attributes alone may lead to success. But when all four converge in equal force, well, now you’re talking superstar status. A standout in this exclusive club even among his peers, Manny Lehman is a musical chameleon whose abundant innate gifts, coupled with a renowned stamina, have helped him fashion one of the more prolific and enduring careers on the global party circuit. Custom tailoring an aggressive hodgepodge of melodic anthems and militant percussion for each room and audience, Manny always delivers the goods. Perhaps the only thing more remarkable than his impressive talent and keen sense of perception is how he has managed to stay at the top of his game for so long, with nary a scratch on his record. “Nobody can sum up the attitude of a room and keep the energy pumping like Manny Lehman. From the first song till the very last, he is relentless!” -- DJ Billy Carroll One of an elite crew of DJs who has headlined every major event on the gay party circuit -- twice, often more -- Manny credits his highly-acclaimed performances in 1999 at both the White Party in Palm Springs and Montreal’s Black & Blue Recovery Party as the catalysts that sent his career soaring into overdrive. A pivotal gig at South Beach’s Club Amnesia soon followed, as did later residencies at the legendary Twilo in New York City, Miami’s Crobar, Factory and Here in Los Angeles, Nation in Washington, D.C. and New York’s Avalon (fka Limelight) and Roxy. Complementing this perpetual flurry of nightclub bookings are frequent guest spots at world-renowned weekend dance events like White and Winter Parties in South Beach, Chicago’s Fireball, Cherry in D.C. and Gay Disney in Orlando, many of which have become perennial gigs.
The classic NYC nightclub experience comes alive when Mendoza is behind the turntables. The New York area native spent his late teens and early 20's as a promoter for Manhattan's most prominent megaclubs including the Tunnel, Limelight, Sound Factory, and Expo, always keeping an ear out for the tracks that drove the crowd into a frenzy. Mendoza's biggest musical influences were the epic late-night and early-morning sets by legends such as Junior Vasquez, Victor Calderone, Peter Rauhofer, and David Morales, as well as the Balearic house sounds of Madrid, Barcelona, and Ibiza. Mentored under famed DJ legend Billy Carroll, he has spent the past 10+ years honing his unique style while presiding over private parties, philanthropic gatherings, and special events. Under Carroll's guidance, he produced floor-thumping remixes that have been played in some of the most well-known clubs in NYC, across the US, and abroad. Mendoza now holds a residency at Meteor Lounge in Houston, and also makes special appearances behind the decks at South Beach nightclub. Mendoza enjoys exposing crowds to music they may not hear elsewhere, seamlessly blending the hottest new underground tracks, old-school house, big room vocals, spanish tribal, and re-imagined classics into a musical journey of past, present, and future. His mission for the crowd is simple: "As one of my favorite house tracks puts it, 'Now let me see you WORK'."
